About the Institute

The Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat is an institute of national importance, funded by the Government of India. This institute is spread over 100 hectares of land on the Surat-Dumas Road. The Institute is established in 1961 in the State of Gujarat as one of the Regional Engineering Colleges, became the National Institute of Technology (NIT) on 4th October 2002. At present, the SVNIT is offering Six UG Programmes, Eighteen PG Programmes, and three M.Sc. Five Years Integrated Programmes in Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics including a doctoral program in varied branches of science and engineering. In the institute, there is a constant process of up-gradation and innovativeness in academics. Special attention is given to interdisciplinary researches.

About the Department

The Department of Chemistry came into existence in the year 1961-62. The department has 11 dedicated faculty members with a specialization in various areas. The department is running five years integrated M.Sc. including Ph.D. in various disciplines such as green chemistry, catalysis, corrosion, sensors, ion exchange, polymers, organic synthesis, natural products, drugs, dyes, supramolecular chemistry, inorganic chemistry, ionic liquids, surface chemistry, functional materials, biomaterials, nanomaterials, mass spectrometry, microchip and capillary electrophoresis and water treatment.

About The Conference

The two days international conference on “Emerging Trends in Medicinal Chemistry (ETMC-2021)” will be an interactive event intended to discuss and learn about medicinal Chemistry, which is an interdisciplinary science. In addition, this conference provides ample opportunities for researchers, scientists, academicians, students and other delegates across the globe to exchange new ideas, research findings and practical challenges encountered, and the solutions adopted in the field of:
